Overview

These terms govern your use of the Southern California Association of Camera Clubs (SCACC) website at scacc.us. By using this site, you agree to these terms. SCACC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization managing the Photographic Arts Building in Balboa Park, San Diego.

Eligibility

Access to the member portal and dashboard is restricted to individuals on the SCACC roster. Sign-in is available through Google OAuth or email magic link, subject to the following:

  • Members — photographers with current club membership — may use either Google OAuth or email magic link
  • Elevated roles (admin, editor, club representative) — may use either Google OAuth or email magic link
  • Unrostered users — individuals not on the SCACC roster — will not be granted access

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access areas of the site beyond your assigned role
  • Share your account credentials or session with others
  • Upload content that is copyrighted by others without permission
  • Use the site to send spam or unsolicited messages
  • Attempt to disrupt or compromise the site's security
  • Scrape or bulk-download content without authorization

Photographer Pages

Members who opt in to a public photographer page are responsible for the content they publish, including bios, links, and photos. SCACC reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms or is otherwise inappropriate for a family-friendly photography organization.

Photo Credits and Ownership

Photographs displayed on SCACC galleries, in interclub competitions, and in PSA submissions remain the property of the photographer. SCACC displays these images as part of club exhibitions and competitions. Photographers grant SCACC a non-exclusive license to display their work on the SCACC website for these purposes.

Account Termination

SCACC may revoke access at any time if:

  • Your club membership lapses (you will no longer be able to log in)
  • You violate these terms of service
  • Your role is changed or revoked by an administrator

Photo credits remain on the site after membership ends as part of the historical record.

Disclaimers

  • The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • SCACC is not liable for loss of data or service interruptions
  • External links to member websites and social media are not controlled by SCACC
  • SCACC is not responsible for content on third-party platforms (e.g., SlickPic, Zeffy)

Third-Party Services

The SCACC website integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth — for identity verification (see our privacy policy for details)
  • SlickPic — for gallery hosting of member photographs
  • Zeffy — for membership dues payment and donations (Zeffy is a 501(c)(3) platform that does not charge fees to non-profits)

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Changes to These Terms

SCACC may update these terms as the website evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
